I am so excited to finally get to post some pictures from our trip to Vermont!! originally we were supposed to take our trip to Costa Rica to celebrate our 5 year anniversary, but we have to postpone it to fit Eric’s leave. We are so excited and are counting down the days until we can go! Still wanting to have a few days to hang out just the two of us we decided to take a last-minute trip to Vermont. Why Vermont you may ask, well we found a place that looked really pretty on Groupon lol and it happened to be about an hour away from where my sister Caitlin lives in New Hampshire. We were really excited to get to visit her and check out her new apartment and explore Vermont all in 4 days!
My mom told us that we had to stop at the Vermont Welcome Center and I am so happy we did! It was the most beautiful welcome center I have ever been to! They had beautiful gardens and really pretty areas to walk around stretch your legs and check out some exhibits that show what the state is well-known for.
Next stop on the tour was the Vermont Country Store one of the coolest little stores I have ever been in! They literally had everything from homemade fudge to vintage cleaning products and the best cheese I have tasted in a while! We just randomly stumbled upon this little gem and I highly recommend checking it out if you are in the area. It’s a great place to stop and walk around, grab a coffee, and do a little shopping. They also have a whole outdoor area set up with games and tables to let your kiddos get some exercise after a long drive!
The next little town we stopped in was Bellows Falls, we saw a huge sign for it and decided to take a detour and check out the falls… Well we didn’t find any falls but we did get some cool pictures of the little town walked around for a bit. Day one was really great even though we had an 8 hour drive!! Our first real stop was to check out Cait’s new place and spend the night with her in Keene, New Hampshire more on that tomorrow!
